Columbus, we have a new donut shop!
Jeff’s Donuts opened this week in the growing district of Hamilton Quarter.
The donut shop comes to us from Louisville, where they have a half dozen locations (plus a new one in Lexington!).
Their setup is pretty simple overall: a single room with a couple shelves on the wall and a pair of display cases in front. In addition to donuts, they serve coffee and a few other beverages.
You’ll find a lot of classic yeast-raised donuts, from chocolate longjohns to cream-filled shells, cinnamon rolls to glazed donuts topped with icing and sprinkles.
There are a few different fruit flavors, too, from raspberry- or apple-filled glazed donuts or longjohns with orange or blueberry frosting.
We stopped by and ordered a mix of donuts: longjohns with chocolate or orange glazes, raspberry-filled shells, glazed donuts, cinnamon rolls, a banana cream donut.
We enjoyed everything we tasted; no complaints from us!
